Shobha J advises (pro-bono) the Educational vertical of the Center.

With a genuine passion to assist learning in children and having worked with both National and International schools for the past several years, she carries a rich experience on the dynamics of the teacher-student-parent interactions across nationalities. Her vision for the educational sector is to explore the area blending her learnings and evolving them to bring about excellence in effective teaching and parenting and qualitative improvement in teacher-student- parent engagement.
A keen sense of observation that she nurtures within herself, had led her to serve as a teacher at an esteemed educational institution in Bangalore. Her extensive experience in teaching alongside her vision for holistic child development, has led her to explore neuroscientific avenues for achieving the same. She works closely with the research team of the center in its cognitive neurosciences research initiatives.
Her stay in Germany for a few years has helped her to be conversant in the German language in the interest of conversing with the local people. Her yearning interest in knowing more about children has earned her a diploma in Child Psychology and she actively engages in counseling children to assist in their personal and psychological problems. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Business Administration, she has also gained corporate exposure by working with IBM for a few years.

At the Center, Shobha was instrumental in setting up the Center of Excellence for Cognitive Neurosciences to support Brighter Minds related research and trainings for children, adults and elderly in the space of cognition, learning and performance. She is also developing a train the teacher modules based on the science, theory and frameworks of Emotional intelligence so as to enhance the teaching and learning effectiveness within school settings. She is also working with other passionate educationists who want to make a difference in the field of education through simplifying and enhancing the teaching pedagogy.
